It’s been a long time since I wrote anything on Toodleoo.com – and unfortunately all the past blog was deleted because of a totally incompetent domain host (Turbify). Fortunately we printed out 2 copies of the entire blog – 5 large volumes – and Laurie and I each got one…
Many things have changed since I last wrote – about the only way I know how to communicate it all succinctly is simply to be blunt. (Ask questions if you feel the need.)
- Laurie and I are divorced. Laurie was done with full time travelling but I’m not – plus a lot of other factors came into play. She’s now up in MA. I’m in GA and fortunately we’re both still speaking to each other.
- Our beautiful Outbound 44 ‘Toodle-oo!’ has been sold and now resides in Annapolis.
- I finagled my way back into the real estate market by assisting my daughter Abigail in buying a house with a cottage in the back when she moved to Savannah.
- I then bought a massive (to me) Ford F350 truck – yes one with a 7.3 Liter V8! Meet Glenda!
- Then I bought a camper to put in the back of it! Meet Toodle-oo!
- Then I bought and installed a whole new electrical system (like the boat’s)
- What with house, truck, camper and batteries, I spent half a boat – and then some!
- After a short delay while I got waylaid by a short term contracting job, I’m ready to head out in the camper for “an extended period” – and who knows what that means.
- With luck I’ll be bringing along a new adventure-loving friend I have met…
Adding to this, I have ordered a drone – so you can expect this blog to also hold some video clips of the adventure… once I’ve worked out just how to do it!
